With many planning to hit the road for early Thanksgiving travel, rain will make an appearance overnight and into Saturday morning. The good news is that the rain should be mostly low impact aside from early Saturday outdoor plans wanting to be moved to later.
This is expected to be on and off light rain, with a few pockets of some moderate rainfall possible. Rainfall should be around a quarter of an inch or less, which shouldn't have any major impacts in terms of flooding or drainage issues. With fallen leaves, roads could be extra slippery when wet.
Beyond early Saturday rain, we are dry until Tuesday. While rain is possible on both Tuesday and Wednesday, the exact timing still needs to be ironed out.
If you are traveling these days, plan to allow extra time just in case the rain slows things down. Rain has the potential to last into the early parts of Thanksgiving, keep checking back in as we get closer for the latest forecast.
