Police are asking for help finding a man accused of assaulting a 73-year-old inside a Bay Ridge subway station.
It happened around 4:10 p.m. Monday at the 86th Street N train station.
The NYPD says the victim was trying to board a southbound train when he got into a verbal argument with another man on the platform. That man then grabbed the victim’s cane and used it to beat him — hitting him in the head and on his body.
The 73-year-old suffered a deep cut near his right eye and a broken arm. EMS took him to NYU Langone Hospital Brooklyn. He’s expected to be OK.
Police released a photo of the attacker. He has a beard and was last seen wearing a white vest, black pants, gray sneakers and orange gloves.
The man ran off after the attack and hasn’t been seen since.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
