At least six people were injured in a multivehicle crash in Spring Valley.
The crash happened on New Clarkstown Road and Dutch Lane in around 7 p.m.
The scene was cleared after hours of the road being closed.
Spring Valley Police say one male is in custody, three officers have minor injuries, and six civilians were taken to the hospital.
News 12 was able to obtain exclusive video from a nearby business showing the aftermath of the crash involving police officers swarming a car with their guns drawn.
The incident also backed up traffic. News 12 spoke with one man who was stuck in the traffic for over 45 minutes and was concerned about what was unfolding.
“The cops were basically flooding the street. They were just turning us away. That was even more dangerous because we had kids in the car,” he said.
It's still unclear on the identity of the suspect in custody and what led up to this crash.
