A 22-year-old Bridgeport man was killed after a single-vehicle crash on Indian Avenue around 5:30 a.m. Tuesday, police said.
The victim was a passenger in a white sedan that lost control, mounted the curb, struck a utility pole and rolled over at the Chopsey Hill Road intersection.
Police say the 22-year-old driver suffered minor injuries.
Residents say there have been at least a dozen crashes at the intersection over the past 20 years, and they're calling on the city to install speed bumps.
Police have not yet released the name of the man who died.
