An arrest has been made in connection to a fatal White Plains Road shooting earlier this month. A 16-year-old boy is in custody and is facing serious charges like murder, manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon.
Police say they initially arrested a father and son duo, Norman and Devonte Moore, for the murder of Fareed Adayi.
The Bronx district attorney says 64-year-old Norman drove his 24-year-old son Devonte to carry out this deadly shooting at a Laundromat parking lot on White Plains Road. The incident happened on Oct. 7.
We're told all three in custody do know each other, including the 16-year-old who was also arrested.
According to the Bronx district attorneys' office, 24-year-old Devonte Moore was hospitalized as of Monday and has not yet been arraigned. It's unclear why or what injuries he sustained.
