A peaceful protest in Stamford on Sunday rallied against the Trump administration and Elon Musk. Organizers said about 100 people gathered near the Shoprite supermarket on West Main Street. Protestors whom News 12 Connecticut spoke with said they were proud to stand up for what they believe in. "As long as you are out here protesting against any of the many atrocities that are happening in this country right now, whether it be trans rights, whether it be arresting people who are using their First Amendment, whether it be protesting fascism and firing government officials illegally, there are just so many things and so many causes we need to get behind right now," said organizer Mary Beth Barone "If you can't get out there and protest because you don't feel safe, you can drive by and honk in support or just amplify and boost events in your area." Nationwide protests also took place at Tesla showrooms across the country. Barone said another protest is set for Saturday April 5 in front of the Stamford Government Center.
