Dancers from the Hagen School of Irish Dance in Long Beach performed for students and staff at the Cerebral Palsy Association of Nassau County in Roosevelt.
More than dozen Irish step dancers leaped, hopped and high kicked their way through the halls of the Roosevelt center on St. Patrick's Day.
Workers at the association say the Irish step dance celebration encourages their students and adult residents to get up and move. "Our children are in school all day. We see little miracles taking place throughout this event, some are big miracles," explained Kathleen Shea, of the Cerebral Palsy Association of Nassau County. This is the 20th year the Irish dance school has performed for the Cerebral Palsy Association.
They performed for about 800 people at Monday's event.
