Waterbury police have released the 911 call and body camera footage from the rescue of a 32-year-old man who told police he was held captive by his stepmother for 20 years.

In the call from Feb. 17, Kimberly Sullivan is heard yelling, "There's a fire! Oh my god! There's a fire!"

She also tells the operator, "My son - my stepson, he was in his room, and I don't know, he did something with the TV, I was sleeping, I fell asleep."

She said he passed out and needed an ambulance.

While she made it out of the house before the first responders got there, she quickly points them inside saying, "My stepson is in there! I'm trying to have them help him out, I have two cats."

Shortly after that, a firefighter is seen carrying the man out and helping put him into an ambulance.

Police say he only weighed 68 pounds when he was rescued, and that when they brought him to the ambulance to check on him, he started telling them how Sullivan had been holding him captive - leading to an investigation, and Sullivan's arrest last week.

Police say she had kept him locked in a tiny room since he was 11, starving him and forcing him to drink out of a toilet.
