Cairo is best described as a gentle giant. He's affectionate, friendly and in the market for a furever family.
A 6-month-old American bully weighing about 80 pounds, Cairo was recently surrendered to Rescue Ridge Shelter after his owner became too ill to care for him. Prior to that, volunteers say he was in a loving home with a family that kept him up to date with all of his vaccines.
Volunteers are hoping for a family that is experienced and equipped to deal with a dog that could grow to be about 100 pounds, since this pup will likely be "an extra-large dog" when fully grown. Although he behaves well around other dogs, the shelter would like for him to go to a home with no other pets so that his new family "can devote all their time to him and his development."
"Cairo is a joy to be around and loves attention. He is learning to walk nicely on a leash and learn some basic commands and manners," his description on the Rescue Ridge website states.
