The annual Labor Day soccer tournament in Yorktown marked its 50th year – welcoming more than 100 teams from around the tri-state area.
Officials with Yorktown Youth Soccer Club say the league has been in the community since 1975. News 12 spoke with Bridget O'Sullivan, a former player, current coach and member of the Yorktown Youth Soccer Club Committee. She said her favorite part of the league is getting to bond with the players.
"I remember playing in it when I was a kid and I had a lot of fun,” she said. “Everyone says how much fun we always have here. It's a great time."
The tournament is being held in four different parks around Yorktown – including Woodlands Legacy Field and Granite Knolls.
