Rep. Pat Ryan, D-18, is calling plans for an ICE processing center in Orange County “disgusting” and “un-American.”

On X, Ryan cited a Washington Post report that claims the Trump administration is planning large-scale holding centers, including one in Chester.

According to report, the administration aims to build several facilities that could hold up to 80,000 immigrants in warehouses at a time. The article also says one senior ICE official described the plan as “similar to an Amazon Prime warehouse, but for people.”

Ryan posted that local leaders were not consulted about the Chester site and said the community will not stand for it.
