Last night and this morning's intense storms brought gusts of over 70 mph to parts of the city. Luckily, that has cleared out and the wind will continue to die down over the next day or so.
Today was not only St. Patrick's Day, but also the equilux for those in New York City! The equilux is when we see equal parts daylight and nighttime -- and at our latitude (around 41 degrees North), we usually see that occur a few days before the equinox. The start of spring arrives on Friday! And by then, springlike temperatures will return as well.
Until then, highs are in the high 30s and low 40s for Wednesday, and back in the mid-40s for Thursday. The 50s return for Friday and into the weekend.
We aren't tracking much in the way of rain or snow for the rest of the week. Rain chances return possibly Friday, with more likely chances for Saturday. We will keep an eye on it!
