An Asbury Park firefighter rescued a dog that reportedly went missing from a burning apartment building.
The fire was reported around 9 a.m. Wednesday along Jefferson Avenue.
The fire caused significant damage to the complex, forcing dozens of people out of their homes.
"This building is pretty much uninhabitable. Our Social Services Department is having everybody going to the senior center and they will be in contact with the Red Cross to try to relocate people for a couple of days,” says Chief Kevin Keddy.
Multiple fire departments responded to fight the fire.
