A vehicle collision in Morris Heights turned deadly on Tuesday afternoon after an argument between two drivers took a turn for the worse.
According to police, a female driver and male driver crashed outside of 1809 Phelan Place just before 4:30 p.m. The two drivers began arguing and the female driver called a separate man to the scene to confront the male driver.
The man called to the scene arrived and stabbed 29-year-old Ronald Gomez-Mesa who the NYPD says was attempting to diffuse the situation.
Gomez-Mesa was transported to a nearby hospital and was pronounced dead.
There are no arrests at this time.
