A Timber Creek High School track coach has been charged with sexually assaulting a student, according to the Camden County Prosecutor's Office.
Joel Deanley Jr., 26, of Gloucester Township, is charged with three counts of sexual assault and three counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
The prosecutor's office said it was notified Aug. 4 by the Gloucester Township Police Department after a female high school student reported having a sexual relationship with Deanley. Investigators say the sexual activity occurred between June and August 2026.
Deanley was arrested Aug. 5 in Gloucester Township and taken to the Camden County Correctional Facility pending a detention hearing in Superior Court.
According to prosecutors, Deanley worked as an aide at Timber Creek High School and served as the head coach for the boys and girls winter track teams, as well as an assistant coach for football and girls spring track.
Authorities said the student is the only identified victim in the investigation. Anyone with additional information is asked to contact the Camden County Prosecutor's Office Special Victims Unit or the Gloucester Township Police Department.
