What started out as a very hot day, shifted to a drop in temperature and rain. Towns along the Jersey Shore were packed with people Friday morning.
There was a 10-day stretch of sun at the beach, but now wind and rain have returned.
Many people in Asbury Park were enjoying the boardwalk breeze to beat the heat.
Dr. Eric Handler, chairman of Emergency Medicine at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center, suggests that one of the big issues is that when temperatures go from moderate to high, peoples' bodies have not had a chance to acclimate.
The most important advice was to look out for one another especially little ones and the elderly.
