A former school safety agent from Mount Vernon is using his expertise to shed light on the gun violence problem in the United States.
Wilfred La Salle, now a movie producer, created a feature film called "The Security Guard" that takes a hard look at the impact of school shootings across the country and the fight for more gun control laws in Congress.
In an interview with News 12's Tara Rosenblum, La Salle outlined the key takeaways from his yearslong project.
"The film is going to be very hard to watch for a lot of viewers because it's very real. And they will get a bird's eye view of how fast a shooter can get into a building," La Salle said.
