Snowplows were out on Bridgeport streets all day Saturday, but the snow itself mostly turned to rain by 6 p.m. There was little accumulation.
Mayor Joe Ganim said he decided Saturday morning not to declare a snow emergency based on forecasts from the National Weather Service.
"We always want to be prepared and keep the public safe, and it's worth the effort to do so -- regardless of the outcome," Ganim said.
