Bitter cold weather will linger overnight into Sunday morning. Be sure to layer-up and prepare for a cold end to the weekend. On Sunday, other than cold, skies will be mostly cloudy, and it will be dry during the day. Around dinner time during the 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. hours, a storm system is expected to bring rain/snow showers in the evening through Sunday night. The snow will end before sunrise on Monday ahead of warming weather once more for Monday and much of next week. Expecting roughly 0.2 to an inch maximum of snowfall for the borough, so a coating of snow at best. Next week, plan for temperatures to be above normal for the first week of February. It will be dry through Wednesday, but Wednesday night there is a chance that an approaching storm system will bring a wintry mix initially, then transition to rainfall throughout Thursday. Prepare to bring out the raingear once more for Thursday. Once this system clears out, temperatures still remain milder than normal, but dry heading into the weekend.
