The latter portion of the week starts with sunshine with an overall pleasant feeling in the air but could end with patchy fog.
TROPICS: There are THREE systems being monitored by the National Hurricane Center.
- Kirk is in the central Atlantic Ocean and is forecast to move northwest in the open waters, strengthening to a potential major hurricane. It doesn't pose a threat to any landmasses but may kick up some wave activity for Bermuda by the weekend.
- Tropical Depression 13 recently formed near the Azores (by the west coast of Africa) and will strengthen into a potential hurricane by the weekend. The next name on the list is Leslie.
- The third disturbance is in the western Caribbean Sea and has a 0-40% chance of development in the next two to seven days as it heads northwestward into the Gulf of Mexico.
