        Man accused of killing NHL star John Gaudreau and brother formally charged

        Higgins, who is currently being held in a Salem County jail, faces charges including aggravated manslaughter.

        A grand jury has formally charged Sean Higgins, 44, in connection with the fatal crash that killed NHL star John Gaudreau and his brother.
        Higgins, who is currently being held in a Salem County jail, faces charges including aggravated manslaughter.
        According to police, Higgins attempted to pass a car on the right and struck the Gaudreau brothers as they were riding their bikes on the shoulder. Higgins also failed a sobriety test.
        The Gaudreau brothers were back home in New Jersey for their sister's wedding at the time of the incident. John Gaudreau was 31 years old, and his brother Matthew was 29.
