NEW THIS EVENING: The snow has stopped and the blizzard warning has been eliminated. Slow cleanup begins.
Nearly 2 feet of snow fell in some areas of our borough and snow reports continue to trickle in. We set a daily snowfall record at Central Park yesterday for February 22nd. We received 8.8" of snow which shattered the previous record of 6.0".

We hate to have to tell you this, but there is more snow on the way. Light snow showers push through late Tuesday into Wednesday. We could pick up under an inch of snow from this. Then more precipitation is possible Thursday into Friday, which could have a wintery mix and freezing rain involved too.
