        Level 2 drought hits New Jersey; 191-acre fire contained in Franklin Township

        The blaze has already burned approximately 150 acres of land, with the New Jersey Forest Fire Service reporting that it broke out near Pennsylvania Avenue and Proposed Avenue around 6:30 p.m. last night.

        New Jersey is entering the busy spring fire season, with active fires already breaking out in the state.
        One fire in Gloucester County's Franklin Township burned over 191 acres before it was contained this morning.
        News 12's Jim Murdoch reports that a new drought monitor report shows the entire state is under a level two drought, with extreme drought conditions in the southeastern regions.
