A federal grand jury indicted Kosta Diamantis Friday on new bribery and extortion charges.
The indictment claims Diamantis and a Democratic state lawmaker accepted $100,000 from Christopher Ziogas, a Bristol eye doctor.
Diamantis allegedly pressured the state to cancel an audit into questionable Medicaid billing by Ziogas.
Last May, Diamantis was charged with accepting thousands of dollars in bribes for school construction contracts.
