The giveaway started at 10 a.m. outside Brown Butter Craft Bar & Kitchen.
One hundred cartons of a dozen eggs were passed out in 19 minutes.
The giveaway was made possible through a partnership between Farmerjawn, Prince Abou's Butchery and Triple J Farm.
It comes as egg prices skyrocket to between $7-$15 a dozen.
"We are doing this to help the community that's really it," said Andell Jones, with Triple J Farm. "Egg prices are crazy right now and a lot of people talk about it, but don't do nothing about it. So we stepped in as farmers and were like lets do something for the community."
Organizers also held egg giveaways in Queens in Philadelphia.
