Two residents were able to escape, but a 55-year-old resident was unaccounted and believed to be inside. After the fire was contained, firefighters found the missing resident dead in a bedroom.

House fire kills resident in Pequannock Township
A resident of a home in Pequannock Township died in a fire overnight, the Morris County Prosecutor's Office says.
EMS and fire crews responded to the house fire on Lyman Avenue at 2 a.m.
Two residents were able to escape, but a 55-year-old resident was unaccounted and believed to be inside.
One of the residents was taken to a hospital for smoke inhalation.
After the fire was contained, firefighters found the missing resident dead in a bedroom.
The victim's name has not yet been released. It's not clear how the fire began.
