After three full days, crews are still working to put out hot spots in Torrington following a massive fire.
The blaze began shortly after midnight on Sept. 28 at the former Stone Container Company property on Summer Street. Several buildings were destroyed, and firefighters from multiple towns have remained on scene.
Officials say an environmental cleanup will be needed.
The Torrington Police Department is now asking for the public's help in identifying anyone responsible. In a statement, police said: "Arson is a reckless and intentional crime that puts lives at risk, damages property, and jeopardizes the safety of our whole community. If you have any information—no matter how small—that could assist in this investigation, we strongly encourage you to come forward."
