Mostly sunny and windy today, no rain in the 10-day forecast

The cold snap will stick around for a couple of days but another warm push will greet us by the weekend!

ALERTS: There is a freeze warning for Morris, northern/western Passaic, Sussex, and Warren counties this morning for temperatures falling below 32 degrees before the end of the growing season. This can kill sensitive crops/plants.
There is a frost advisory in effect for eastern Passaic and northern/western Bergen counties this morning for temperatures approaching, but remaining above, the freezing mark. Frost can damage sensitive plants.
        FORECAST:
It's clearly cold again this morning across NJ with near freezing temperatures in some of our more rural areas. The eastern zones of urban and coastal NJ will stay warmer this morning with lows in the lower 40s.
The sky will be mostly sunny and the wind will be northerly at 10-25 mph today. This can elevate the risk for the spread of wildfires today if any were to ignite. This is due to the dry conditions, low humidity, and breezy north wind. There is a drought for Ocean and Burlington counties, which can elevate this hazard.
Rain remains out of the forecast for the next 10 days - at least - with a sunny sky and pleasant afternoon temperatures. We'll rebound back into the lower-to-mid 70s for the weekend with chilly overnight and morning lows.
There will be another chance to observe the comet in the western sky today and for the next few days.
