Rep. Nancy Pelosi, the first female speaker of the House, was in New Haven Sunday to promote her new book.

"The Art of Power" tells the story of Pelosi's journey from housewife to House speaker.

It also details how she became the most powerful woman in American political history.

The signing took place at Southern Connecticut State University.
