Dogs and their owners ventured to Roger Sherman Baldwin Park for the 36th annual Puttin' on the Dog event.
Attendees can expect pet demonstrations, live bands, food trucks, games and local vendors.
The main event are the dogs and cats from local shelters that are up for adoption.
Christine Amato, the executive director of Adopt-A-Dog, said it was their "mission to help these dogs who don't have a voice."
Adopt-A-Dog is a regional rescue that saves hundreds of dogs every year. The event ends at 4:30 p.m.
