Farmers in Orange County say they are bracing for more rain and the threat of flooding as the season continues to bring challenges.

One local farmer says he is keeping a close eye on the Wallkill River, which is not at flood stage but remains a concern.

"This season has been so late and delayed by the excessive rain," said Chris Pawelski, a farmer in Warwick. "Normally, now I would be picking a lot of stuff to sell, and at this point I have nothing apart from a handful of items."

Farmers say the combination of rain and heat has already delayed crops across the Hudson Valley. With more storms in the forecast, they're worried about what could come next.

Other farmers are also concerned about the river cresting and the damage it could bring.
