The FBI says it has joined the search for a missing New Hampton woman and her toddler who were last seen in November.
Authorities say there’s a warrant out for the mother, Jahaira De La Mora Gomez, after she missed a family court appearance during which full custody of her 3-year-old, Alexandra, was granted to the girl’s father.
Gomez was last seen with packed bags on surveillance video leaving her New Hampton apartment with her toddler and 8-year-old son from a previous relationship in tow.
Officials say it’s believed Gomez, who has ties to several states and countries including Mexico and Ecuador, may be trying to leave New York state.
