We are thinking of those being impacted by Hurricane Milton this week. It is going to be an incredibly powerful storm for parts of Florida. Locally, our weather continues to be mainly dry.

Today will be nice, but cool with highs seasonably holding in the 60s. While there can be a stray rain sprinkle tomorrow and Thursday, most of the rest of the week is dry with afternoon temperatures in the 60s through Friday. Right now, the weekend looks great. Saturday has highs in the 70s. Next week will be much cooler with highs in the upper 50s to low 60s.

DROUGHT MONITOR: Abnormally dry conditions still exist for a lot of the lower Hudson Valley. If mostly dry weather persists over the next few weeks, drought conditions will be possible.

FOLIAGE: Areas north of I-84 are experiencing the best local colors right now with scattered fall foliage elsewhere.

TROPICS: This is going to be another terrible week for Florida unfortunately as Hurricane Milton will provide life-threatening conditions to Florida, still most likely making landfall in or around the Tampa area Wednesday night as potentially a major hurricane still with record storm surge possible in that area.

FRIDAY: Mostly sunny. Highs around 67. Lows near 50.

SATURDAY: Nice and warmer with highs around 73 under a mostly sunny sky. Lows near 49.

SUNDAY: Sun and clouds. Highs around 68. Lows near 48.

MONDAY: Partly sunny and cooler with highs around 60. Lows near 42.
