District Attorney Ray Tierney said human trafficking is "prevalent" in Suffolk County during an exclusive interview with News 12.
On Tuesday, two women were arraigned in connection to the case of a Patchogue teen who was missing for weeks. They face charges of sex trafficking and endangering the welfare of a child.
"Anyone that played a role in the abuse of a child, we are going to hold responsible, and we've done that," Tierney said.
A total of seven people have been arrested in connection to the same case.
