Attorney General William Tong announced Thursday that Connecticut and Rhode Island are suing the Trump administration to restart Revolution Wind.
The massive offshore wind project was supposed to power 350,000 homes across both states, but the U.S. Department of Interior abruptly ordered construction to stop last month.
The project is 80% complete and was expected to be finished in 2026.
Revolution Wind's developer also sued the government Thursday.
Both lawsuits claim that the administration overstepped its authority.
