Here's what you need to know today. Community board 10 set to vote on a controversial Bally's casino plan tonight. We've been talking about this. It's a big deal, and you have a chance to get involved. Newswell's Britney Cadet is in Throg's neck, and Britney, what's at stake tonight? Yeah, well, the Trons community will have a chance to weigh in tonight at that meeting here at Villa Barone. So if you have any questions, concerns, or ideas, you should make your way down here tonight. As for the vote, this is another step in the planning process. Bley's is promising new opportunities and 4000 new jobs for the borough with the casino at its golf course in Ferry Point Park. They also have a plan to help city parks care for. donate to youth sports and local businesses, plus make the park itself easier to get to with added bus stops and free shuttles. We're also told residents can buy in and even become part owners. Bally's corporation chairman tells us he will be at tonight's meeting, the first one he's attended. He says he wants Bronx residents to be open minded about the project. The Bronx sites we spoke with this morning say they are totally against the casino. While I understand that it brings jobs. They aren't necessarily the best type of jobs and the type, a lot of the type of people that they attract. Um, I don't think it's good. I don't think it's good for communities. Now tonight's vote is simply just an advisory's vote, but Bally's still has to win one of the state's gaming commission's 3 licenses for a casino here downstate.
