An employee shuttle bus crash at Newark Liberty International Airport sent multiple people to the hospital early Monday morning.
Airport officials said the crash happened around 3 a.m. on the Terminal B Departures Level 3 roadway.
Emergency crews, including Port Authority police, responded to the scene.
Officials said multiple people suffered injuries that were not considered life-threatening. The injured were transported to area hospitals for evaluation and treatment.
There is no word yet on caused the driver to apparently lose control and miss the off-ramp altogether, crashing into a concrete wall.
The bus was towed away just before 8 a.m., and the third-level roadway, which was closed all morning, reopened to traffic around 8:30 this morning. Air traffic has not been affected.
The investigation is ongoing.
