A multi-vehicle crash involving a school van shut down part of I-291 in South Windsor on Monday morning.

Connecticut State Police said the crash happened on I-291 westbound near Exit 2 around 7:45 a.m.

The school van's driver and one student were on board at the time of the crash.

Neither the driver nor the student was injured, police said.

Serious injuries were reported in the crash, according to state police. It is unclear how many people were injured.
