Gas prices are rising across New Jersey as Labor Day travelers prepare to hit the road.
AAA said the average price for a gallon of regular gas in New Jersey has climbed to about $4.16.
That is up about 7 cents from a day earlier.
Prices at some area gas stations were even higher Tuesday morning, with some locations selling regular gas for about $4.29 a gallon.
Drivers heading out for the holiday weekend are expected to face some of the highest prices on record, according to AAA.
AAA said the increase is tied to the situation involving Iran.
