Viva Toro and Migo Events put out a call to action on social media - and the response was overwhelming.
"It was crazy, we had lines like around the block people were just so excited to come and donate cars were blocking the road," said Paulina Montieo, co-founder of Migo Events.
Organizers say they have more than enough clothing donations at this time. They now are asking for people to donate toiletries, clean underwear, socks and feminine products.
People can drop off these items at 987 Grand St. in Williamsburg on Wednesday from 4 p.m.to 7 p.m.
