Temperatures are feeling in the single digits and below on Long Island today.
“I’m freezing,” Hicksville resident Sam Deturris said. “That about sums it up.”
“It’s hard but you go through it,” Levittown resident Anthony Pierre said. “You know, we’re from New York what do we expect? We get the four seasons.”
“Looking forward to getting some salt down so we don’t fall in the parking lot but it’s work you have to get there,” Oyster Bay resident Ken Dunne said.
Doctors warn that extended exposure to temperatures such as this cold could be dangerous and lead to issues like hypothermia or frostbite.
News 12 Meteorologists say to expect another frigid day on Wednesday before temperatures begin to rise on Thursday with seasonable weather by the weekend.
