Nine people were injured after a ceiling collapse in Brooklyn.
Officials say they received a call around 9:30 a.m. for a reported ceiling collapse on Ralph Avenue between Avenue K and Avenue L.
EMS treated a total of nine patients, all with minor injuries. Five were transported to the hospital and four refused additional medical attention.
The Department of Buildings says at a commercial building housing an IHOP franchise restaurant, inspectors observed a section of a drop ceiling collapsed due to potential water damage originating from the roof.
This is a developing story.
