Mayor Eric Adams says he intends to stay in the New York City mayoral race.
Adams held a press conference inside Gracie Mansion on Friday evening.
"I am in this race and I'm the only one that can beat Mamdani," said Adams. "I am running and I'm gonna beat Mamdani and going to continue the success."
He stated concerns about the city "going backwards" and weighed in on the other candidates in the race.
"l have two spoiled brats running for mayor. They were born with silver spoons in their mouths, not like working-class New Yorkers. They are not like us," said Adams.
