Firefighters rescued a woman a burning home Monday morning in Red Bank.
The fire broke out just before 9 a.m. along Oakland Street.
Firefighters who arrived at the scene could see smoke coming from the home and a large fire burning in the back.
Crews were able to save a woman who was trapped inside.
She was not injured.
Several neighboring fire departments also responded.
Red Bank Fire Department Chief Frank Woods said the fire was a great example of why they need more volunteers.
"The fire departments are volunteers throughout the area here, especially in Monmouth County. The overall are volunteer, and we are in dire need of volunteers. We can't ask enough of the residents of this county to support us. We really need help," Woods said.
A cause of the fire was not immediately known.
