A woman has died from her injuries after being struck in a hit-and-run crash in Suffern near Lafayette Avenue and Woodland Avenue.

Mayor Michael Curley confirmed the 73-year-old passed away following the Saturday incident.

Angel Mendoza Raymundo, 29, was allegedly driving drunk when he hit the woman and fled the scene.

An off-duty officer later caught Raymundo, who is now in custody, according to police.
