        Windy conditions linger for Thursday in Connecticut

        Temperatures will stay really mild for now.

        ALERTS: Coastal flood statement.
        Brief minor flooding possible with the high tide cycle Wednesday night for South Fairfield County. From 1 a.m. to 6 a.m. Up to ½ foot of water inundation possible along the most vulnerable coastline. Breaking waves on the Sound could reach 3 to 5 feet and cause some flooding.
        FORECAST:
        There is a slight risk of a few showers on Thursday, and it remains mild.
        The cold air lags and will hit us on Friday with temperatures near freezing.
        It will feel colder Friday as the winds will pick back up again.
        Temperatures over the weekend will only rise into the 40s.
        Spring-like temperatures look to make a comeback later next week.

        FRIDAY: Mostly sunny, breezy. High of 48.
