As World Alzheimer's Month comes to a close, a Westchester medical professional is opening up about an app she created to help caregivers track the day-to-day care of their loved ones.
CareMobi is free and was created by Dr. Tina Sadarangani not too long ago.
Her app helps people track and share information about their loved one's health and day-to-day progress.
She said the app serves as a centralized hub for families and was designed with Alzheimer's and dementia patients mind.
People can add important appointments, scan medications, save notes and export health care data for medical providers.
"The app is really important not only for people with chronic illness, but especially for people with Alzheimer's disease who rely on their caregiver so heavily, when there are multiple caregivers involved, the app is crucial to ensuring smooth communication and effective collaboration," Sadarangani said.
