Norah Grim, a junior at West Islip high school is helping families in the South, who months later, are still recovering from Hurricane Helene.
Grim made custom made T-shirts and hoodies to help raise money for affected families.
So far, the West Islip junior has sold about 30 hurricane relief T-shirts.
Grim says she wanted to help families in the south because many are still struggling to get back on their feet.
"I was really compelled seeing the catastrophic damage. I know millions of people are still displaced and are without federal aid, so it's really important for our community to give back," explained Grim.
She says the community has also stepped in to give money to the fundraiser.
