A one-car crash in Spotswood knocked down a utility pole and briefly sparked flames on Thursday morning.
The volunteer fire department got the call around 7:30 a.m. on Manalapan Road near Bruning Lane.
Everyone inside the car got out safely.
JCP&L cut power to the wires, and the fire burned out quickly.
Cleanup took about two hours.
