        2 teenagers killed in Christmas Day crash on Route 52 in Liberty

        A devastating car crash on Christmas Day claimed the lives of two teenagers in the village of Liberty.
        Police say a pickup truck collided with a car near Sullivan Avenue on Route 52.
        The 17-year-old female driver of the car was airlifted to Westchester Medical Center, where she died.
        The 15-year-old male passenger also died at the hospital.
        The victims have been identified as 17-year-old Hannah Reggio, of Middletown, and 15-year-old Joseph Young, of Fallsburg.
        The 57-year-old driver of the pickup truck was treated for his injuries and released.
        State police are working with village police to investigate the cause of the crash.
